
There is no known photo of Tink Clark, the arena worker who toiled (and sometimes lived) for decades at Galt Arena Gardens. This ballad is a testament to Tink and the integral role he played at the arena from the days of the Toronto Maple Leafs training camps in the 1930s through to the 1960s. Tink also served as the parade grand marshall during the Grand Parade on roller skating nights.

This film, shot by Olympic runner Scotty Rankine, shows his friend and fellow Olympian Syl Apps making his debut at a Toronto Maple Leafs training camp, in Preston and Galt, Ontario, shortly after Rankine and Apps returned from the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics.
